Arsenal have announced their squad for the Capital One Cup game against West Bromwich Albion this evening – and it is as expected an experimental line-up.
The likes of Per Mertesacker, Mathieu Flamini and Nacho Monreal will all feature but big names such as Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Kieran Gibbs and Olivier Giroud are not even in the squad.
It is a chance for young players to shine, and that is reflected in the squad – with the likes of Kristoffer Olsson, Chuba Akpom, Alex Iwobi and Ryo Miyaichi included.
Thomas Vermaelen and Mikel Arteta will be hoping to take another step toward recovery from their respective injuries – with both players expected to start the game.
