Gary Neville has praised Bukayo Saka whilst suggesting that it is impossible to dislike the Arsenal winger because he plays with a smile on his face.

Arsenal were in action on Sunday evening as they beat Manchester United 3-2 in a Premier League classic.

The Gunners fell behind to Marcus Rashford’s outstanding opener before Eddie Nketiah headed in a leveller.

Saka then smashed home a stunner before Lisandro Martinez appeared to have earned United a point with a looping header.

Arsenal fund their big chance though and took it with Nketiah scoring from close range to send the Emirates Stadium wild.

Mikel Arteta’s men remain in the box seat for the Premier League title and Saka continues to be a big game player.

Gary Neville hails Arsenal star Bukayo Saka

The 21-year-old has been developing rapidly under Arteta and has now racked up seven goals and seven assists in 19 Premier League games this term.

Saka’s stunning goal against United means praise is going to come his way and Red Devils legend Gary Neville has joined in.

Speaking on the Gary Neville Podcast, Neville suggested that you can’t help but love Saka.

Neville feels that Saka is ‘absolutely wonderful’ and is almost impossible to dislike.

Neville added that he played his whole career with a frown because it was so difficult for him, so he now loves to see Saka playing with a smile on his face.

“Saka, to be fair, you can’t help but love him,” said Neville. “He’s absolutely wonderful, a breath of fresh air. He’s everything you would want in a football player. I played football with a frown on my face for 20 years because I found it hard work, and I watch Bukayo Saka play football and it’s a joy, he’s smiling and he’s happy and he’s enthusiastic and I love it, I love watching it!” he added.

Neville probably wishes Saka hadn’t scored a screamer against his beloved United but he is right here.

Saka plays with such joy and freedom whilst having the quality in the final third to make a real impact.

We just hope that Saka can keep playing with this much enjoyment for years to come, rather than see that spark dulled as he advances his career.
