Don Hutchison has raved about reported Arsenal target Yves Bissouma on BBC Sport for his performance against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The BBC Sport pundit was hugely impressed by Bissouma, linked with a move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, for his performance for Brighton and Hove Albion in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday evening.
The 25-year-old Mali international midfielder scored in the 63rd minute and was a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the park.
Brighton lost 3-1.
Former Liverpool midfielder Hutchison was following the match for BBC Sport, and he felt that Bissouma was “sensational”.
According to The Sunday Mirror (09/01, p71) Arsenal wanted to sign the midfielder in the January transfer window.
Hutchison said about Bissouma on BBC Sport: “The best player on the pitch by an absolute miler, Yves Bissouma. He’s been absolutely sensational.”

Arsenal would be better with Yves Bissouma
In our view, Arsenal would be a better team with Bissouma in it.
The Mali international midfield is one of the players in his position, and, as he showed against Tottenham, he is very good against the top teams in England.
Now, we know from Arsenal’s failed attempt to sign Arthur Melo from Juventus and their interest in Bissouma that they still want a midfielder.
So, in our opinion, Arsenal should make a bid for the former Lille star in the summer of 2022.
