Gabriel Jesus isn’t in the Brazil squad but it could be absolutely perfect for Arsenal as the World Cup draws closer and closer.

The international break is fast approaching and Brazil have announced their squad.

Boss Tite is looking to get his squad pencilled in for the World Cup and friendlies against Ghana and Tunisia will help his final decisions.

The usual names are there; Neymar, Alisson, Marquinhos, Casemiro, Fabinho, Vinicius Junior and more.

There have been some eyebrows raised though as three Arsenal players have all been left out of the Brazil squad.

Gabriel Jesus isn’t in the Brazil squad

Defender Gabriel Magalhaes, winger Gabriel Martinelli and striker Gabriel Jesus have all been omitted from the Brazil squad.

All three players were called up for the game against Japan back in June but are now out of the squad.

This has come as a huge shock to many, especially Arsenal fans.

All three players have been in great form to start the season, playing key roles in Arsenal’s outstanding start to the Premier League season.

Gabriel has been strong at the back with William Saliba, Gabriel Martinelli looks like a huge talent and Gabriel Jesus has been electric up top.

You would assume that all three players would be right in the mix for Tite and Brazil, but their World Cup hopes are now in real danger.

To be out of the squad this close to the World Cup indicates that all three may well miss out now – but this could be ideal for Arsenal.

If anybody will have a point to prove in the coming weeks and months, it’s going to be Gabriel, Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus.

All three will be pushing desperately to impress and change Tite’s mind in a final push to try and secure a World Cup squad.

If they make it into the squad at the last minute, it can only be because they have been simply sensational for Arsenal.

If they don’t make it in, all three players will be able to rest up during the World Cup and be fresh for the second half of the season.

Can you imagine a fresh Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus running at some tired Premier League defenders after the World Cup?

It’s a terrifying prospect and one that could make Arsenal even more dangerous going forward.

Tite’s decision may not have gone down too well but the bigger picture is that Arsenal could actually stand to benefit massively from this decision.
