According to Sky Sports, Brighton and Hove Albion defender Ben White won’t be taking his medical with Arsenal for more than a week.
It’s claimed that Arsenal have now agreed a deal to sign White, paying £50million having failed with a bid worth £47million.
The Gunners have been chasing this deal for many weeks now, and appear to have finally reached a breakthrough.
The move isn’t complete just yet, and White will have to go through the usual formalities to get the deal over the line, including a medical.
Possibly frustratingly for Arsenal, White won’t be able to take his medical until July 26th at the earliest as the defender is on holiday having been a part of England’s Euro 2020 squad.
July 26th is next Monday, meaning Arsenal face a little bit of a nervous wait as they attempt to finalise this deal and fend off any hijack attempt, but they just have to stay patient.
