Arsenal talent Ben Cottrell has been spotted in first-team training today as he looks to make an impression on Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners claimed a huge win on Sunday evening as they beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0.
Now eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table, Arsenal have very genuine hope of winning the Premier League title.
Attention will now turn to his weekend’s game against Manchester United with Arteta putting his players through their paces.
London Colney is probably a great place to be right now and Arteta has given chances to more young players this week.

Ben Cottrell spotted in Arsenal training
Jeorge Bird, the best source for Arsenal’s academy ranks, reports that Ben Cottrell was brought into first-team training today.
Bird claims that Catalin Cirjan, Matt Smith, Joel Ideho and Nathan Butler-Oyedeji all joined Cottrell in training.
This doesn’t mean that any of them will be in the squad to face Manchester United.
Mohamed Elneny’s injury does open up a possibility for a spot on the bench, which was taken by Smith against Tottenham.
This is mostly to give young players a chance to train around the senior players, testing themselves against men whilst seeing what it takes to become a first-team star at Arsenal.
Cottrell only recently returned from an injury setback having been ruled out since January of last year.
Hailed as a ‘hugely gifted’ midfielder on Arsenal’s official website, Cottrell has long been backed as a talent for the future but injuries have been a problem.
Now 21, Cottrell will be looking to stay fit and get his career back on track having lost almost a year to injury.
Arteta knows a good midfielder when he sees one and Cottrell will hope to have impressed in training today.
