Arsenal want Raphinha but the Barcelona winger currently has no interest in leaving the club during the January transfer window.
That’s according to Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, who claim that Raphinha is ‘clear’ in his belief that he can become a success at Barcelona.
Mundo Deportivo claim that they got in touch with Raphinha’s representatives and they have completely ruled out a January transfer.
Raphinha’s ‘dream’ is to become a Barcelona star and he isn’t going to give up at the Camp Nou after just a few months.
Sky Sports add that Arsenal have been in touch with Raphinha’s agent Deco to gauge a potential transfer.
Yet if the answer was the same as the one given to Mundo Deportivo, there is little chance of a deal being done this month.

Arsenal need to move on from Raphinha now
We know how much Arsenal wanted to sign Raphinha from Leeds United over the summer.
Fabrizio Romano suggested that Raphinha was an ‘obsession’ for Arsenal because Edu was so keen on signing his fellow Brazilian.
Barcelona ended up signing Raphinha for £55million, yet just seven league starts leaves Arsenal hoping for better luck this time.
Yet if the noises coming out of Raphinha’s camp are that he isn’t keen on moving, Edu needs to forget about him right now.
Arsenal spent so much time chasing Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhailo Mudryk and thought they would be signing him.
Chelsea hijacked the deal, leaving Arsenal to go and consider another winger like Raphinha.
Arsenal just can’t afford to commit more time to chasing a winger if there is a strong chance that the deal won’t happen.
This window is short and Arsenal don’t have time to waste in their quest to sign another attacker who can help their title chances.
It won’t be Mudryk and it looks like it won’t be Raphinha either, so Edu needs to go and find another player to target.
