Arsenal fans will have been stunned to see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hit a hat-trick for Barcelona – and then give his shirt to Gabriel Paulista.
The Gunners let Aubameyang go on deadline day in January after a breakdown in his relationship with boss Mikel Arteta.
After four years at Arsenal, scoring 92 goals in 163 games, Aubameyang was offloaded to Barcelona in a last-gasp transfer.
The Gabon international grabbed the headlines on Sunday afternoon, smashing a hat-trick in a win over Valencia.
Aubameyang hit a first-half brace before sealing his hat-trick on 63 minutes, showing he can still be a menace in front of goal.
That may leave some Arsenal fans wondering whether Arteta made the right decision, especially with the Gunners needing a striker.
Still, Aubameyang wasn’t performing like this for Arsenal and Arteta seemingly had enough of him, sanctioning that January move.
There was one interesting note after Aubameyang’s Barcelona hat-trick as he swapped shirts with another former Arsenal man.
This video from Onefootball shows Aubameyang exchanging shirts with Valencia defender Gabriel Paulista, who was an unused substitute on Sunday.
Paulista spent two-and-a-half years with Arsenal, making just 64 appearances before being sold to Valencia in the summer of 2017.

That means Paulista left Arsenal months before Aubameyang even arrived, so the pair don’t even know each other from playing together at the Emirates Stadium.
The pair have faced each other in the Europa League before, but never been on the same team.
Maybe Paulista or Aubameyang are collecting shirts from former Arsenal players; if so, they got their wish on Sunday!
Either way, this was a nice moment between two former Arsenal players who had very differing careers with the club.
