Kai Havertz has proved a lot of people wrong at Arsenal.
When Mikel Arteta decided to push for his signature last summer, many questioned his call and even Chelsea fans were glad to see him go.
But fast forward to the present and Havertz was one of Arsenal’s best players during the second half of the campaign as they were beaten to the Premier League title on the last day of the season.
Arsenal scored the second-most goals in the Premier League (91), with Havertz finding the back of the net 13 times.
Given that Bukayo Saka netted 16 and Leandro Trossard scored 12, then they are showing that they can spread the goals around.
But there are some who still feel that the title-chasers need a bit more bite and goalscoring might in the final third if they are to dethrone Manchester City.
The latest name doing the rounds is that of RB Leipzig forward, Benjamin Sesko, with Arsenal looking at possibly bringing him in this summer.
Kevin Hatchard stated that the 21-year-old moving to the Emirates ‘makes a lot of sense’ and he could be an ‘alternative’ to Havertz, as he told talkSPORT (06/06/24 at 6:40 am).
The Bundesliga commentator described Sesko as someone who can score off both feet and has the speed to cause problems, but he does need to improve on his movement.

“Sesko is the one that makes a lot of sense,” said Hatchard. “He’s still very, very young. He is only 21.
“I think if you look at the way he played in the second half of last season for Leipzig. He scored in the final seven games in the Bundesliga. He is really good off his right foot and off his left. He has scored some amazing goals on his left as well. Decent in the air. Quick. He is strong.
“I think he needs work. There is no doubt about that. Mikel Arteta would work with him on some of his movement and the link-up play, which can be rough around the edges, at times. He is certainly a good alternative to Kai Havertz – Sesko has had an offer from Leipzig to stay. He has a release clause and Leipzig would like to offer him a new contract and keep him.”

Sesko played 31 league games this term, scoring 14 goals, including scoring in his last seven matches as Leipzig secured fourth spot in Germany’s top tier.
There were wholesale changes at the club last season, including the arrival of Sesko, so that’s a positive debut campaign for the player.

Added to that, he has 11 goals for his country Slovenia ahead of Euro 2024. They are in the same group as England.
That will certainly put a lot more eyes on the player because he will be coming up against Premier League players.
