Arsenal are in action against Manchester United tonight, and Mikel Arteta called James Hillson into first-team training ahead of the game.
The Gunners beat Newcastle United 2-0 on Saturday and will be looking for another positive result tonight.
Arteta put his players through their paces on Wednesday, gearing them up for the trip to Old Trafford.
A surprise name involved was Hillson with the young goalkeeper given a chance to impress.
Hillson, 20, came through the Reading ranks before joining Arsenal in 2019.
Hillson only has three Under-23 appearances to his name with Arsenal but was in first-team training yesterday.
Given that Hillson turns 21 in January and isn’t even playing Under-23 football regularly, it’s hard to see him breaking through at Arsenal.

Still, Arteta rates him enough to give him some time with the senior players ahead of a huge Arsenal game.
Hillson needs a loan move in an ideal world, especially as Arsenal have two other young goalkeepers with bright futures in Karl Hein and Arthur Okonkwo.
Training with Arsenal’s star players will surely aid Hillson’s development, even if his long-term future will surely be away from the Gunners.
