Micah Richards has raved about Chelsea-owned Southampton striker and reported Arsenal target Armando Broja on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 Live.
The former Manchester City defender was left stunned by how well Broja, linked with a move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the summer transfer window, played against Manchester United central defenders Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane at the weekend.
Southampton played out a 1-1 draw with Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League this past Saturday.
Football.London reported over the weekend that Arsenal are monitoring Broja and want to sign the 20-year-old Albania international striker.
Broja, a former Tottenham Hotspur academy player, is on loan at Southampton from Chelsea at the moment.
The Express have reported that the striker is open to leaving Chelsea on a permanent basis in the summer of 2022 and is willing to move to Arsenal.
Richards said about Broja on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 Live, as transcribed by TheBootRoom: “Broja, I know we’ve mentioned him before, but he’s bullying not only Maguire but he’s bullying Varane as well, which I couldn’t quite understand for someone so young.”

Could Arsenal sign Armando Broja?
In our view, if Broja is willing to move to Arsenal and the Gunners want to sign him, then a transfer could happen.
Chelsea have a very strong first-team squad have Romelu Lukaku as their main striker.
So, Broja could struggle for playing time at Chelsea next season.
Arsenal’s two senior strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are out of contract at the end of the season.
In our opinion, if Broja joins Arsenal, then he will have a better chance of playing first-team football than at Chelsea.
Broja has made 12 starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for Southampton so far this season.
The striker has scored six goals in those games.
