Paul Scholes has stated that ‘Arsenal aren’t a great team’ following Manchester United’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool.
The former midfielder was making reference to how he can’t see Man United finishing fourth after that abject display at Anfield.
Whilst things are going wrong, both on and off the field at Old Trafford, it’s not exactly rosy in the garden for those in Arsenal colours.
Mikel Arteta, who had his side leading the charge for Champions League football a number of weeks ago, has now witnessed the Gunners lose three Premier League games on the bounce.
They have a chance to send out a statement of intent and perhaps put a few things right away at Chelsea on Wednesday night.
Despite Scholes declaring that Arsenal aren’t that great, he still feels Man United will be beaten by them at the weekend, as he told Premier League Productions (19/04/22 at 10:30 pm).
“They still have a great chance of finishing in the top four,” said Scholes. “They are three points behind a Spurs team, who you just don’t know what you are going to get. They (Man United) look worse than a mid-table team.
“You just can’t see that on that performance. We are going down near eighth.
“Arsenal aren’t a great team, then there is Chelsea. Those are two games they are going to lose.”

When Arsenal are done with Chelsea, they will then welcome Man United to the Emirates for the early kick-off on Saturday.
Even if the north London club lose at Stamford Bridge, this couldn’t be a better time to face a Man United team in tatters.
Someone like Tottenham, who are currently sitting fourth, perhaps have a big smile on their face because everything is going wrong around them.
These head-to-heads suit Antonio Conte’s men, it’s just a case of them getting the job done when they face off against Arsenal in the north London derby next month.
