Speaking on his YouTube channel, Goal journalist Charles Watts has shared what he knows about Eddie Nketiah’s situation at Arsenal.
The young striker’s future has been up in the air for quite some time now, and while he has reportedly been offered a new contract by the Gunners, he has continuously been linked with a move away from the Emirates.
Watts believes that Nketiah is for sale and that Arsenal are openly inviting offers for him.
What’s been said?
Watts says that the Gunners are trying to find a new club for the striker.
“Basically, Eddie is for sale. There were talks about getting him to sign a new contract, and if that was the case he probably would have gone out on loan next season with Arsenal hoping he’d have a good season and his value would have gone up and they would have sold him the following year for more money.
“It doesn’t look like that contract will be signed, so now Arsenal are openly inviting offers for Eddie Nketiah, so it’s about finding the right club for him and getting a decent transfer fee. He’s in the last year of his contract so you wouldn’t expect they’re going to get absolute masses for him now unfortunately.”

Time’s up
It seems as though Nketiah’s time at Arsenal is up.
The young striker hasn’t been able to make a real impact in north London, and while he has looked Premier League quality in spells, it’s hard to argue that he’s looked capable of leading the line for a club like Arsenal.
Despite the fact he has been described as ‘extraordinary’ in the past, Arsenal are seemingly ready to cut ties with the striker, and with the likes of Alexander Isak and Andre Silva linked with a move to north London, we can understand why.
Let’s just hope that Nketiah can fulfil his potential at another club.
