Arsenal want Ardon Jashari and the midfielder has now won an award for his performances over in Switzerland with FC Luzern.

The Gunners are likely to be in the market for a new midfielder during the January transfer window.

Mohamed Elneny is a long-term absentee and will be able to leave Arsenal for nothing at the end of the season.

Another option is needed to support the likes of Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka but Douglas Luiz can be crossed off the list after signing a new Aston Villa contract.

Edu will be looking here, there and everywhere for a new midfielder and it looks like a talent in Switzerland is on the radar.

Arsenal want Ardon Jashari

Reports in September suggested that Arsenal are interested in snapping up FC Luzern midfielder Ardon Jashari.

Sky Germany have since claimed that six Bundesliga clubs are chasing Jashari too and Swiss sources believes that he can be ‘the new Jude Bellingham’.

That’s a lofty comparison for Jashari, who has proven himself to be a versatile midfielder over in Switzerland.

The 20-year-old has bagged two assists in nine league games for Luzern his season and his impressive displays have now been recognised.

The Swiss Football League’s official website have announced that Jashari has been named Player of the Month for September.

Their write up stated ‘who else?’ when confirming Jashari’s award, believing that there simply couldn’t have been anybody else.

They add that it’s not just September that belongs to Jashari but the whole of 2022 having announced himself as one of Switzerland’s top talents, earning international caps as a result.

Jashari is branded as an ‘exceptionally gifted’ player and Arsenal surely won’t be alone in the race for his signature, especially after being hailed for his ‘remarkable consistency’.

Jashari looks to be a real talent and with his award now secured, Arsenal should be weighing up their January move for the youngster.
