Arsenal want Antoine Griezmann but are looking more towards a January move than a deal before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
The Gunners aren’t dashing around trying to bring in a host of players before the deadline.
Edu and Mikel Arteta got most of their business done early and it should be a quiet couple of days for Arsenal.
Still, Arsenal would like to sign another winger after allowing Nicolas Pepe to join NIce on loan, with Pedro Neto and Mykhaylo Mudryk linked.
Yet Arsenal may already have some ideas in mind for the January window with Antoine Griezmann now mentioned.

Catalan newspaper SPORT report that Griezmann could look to move on during the January transfer window – especially if he doesn’t have a starting role for France at the World Cup.
It’s stated that Atletico must sign Griezmann permanently for €40million (£34million) if he plays more than 30 minutes in at least 50% of their games this season.
Atletico don’t want to pay that, so Griezmann may be in for a difficult few months in the Spanish capital.
The report adds that Arsenal are ‘one of the teams most interested’ in signing Griezmann and are well aware of his situation with Atletico.
It’s added that Arsenal would be willing to sign Griezmann in January, once the World Cup is over.
Based on Arsenal’s recruitment under Edu, we just can’t see Arsenal making a move for Griezmann.
Arsenal have focused more on signing players with potential; the likes of Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Kieran Tierney, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Jesus all have untapped potential and are growing together.
Signing Griezmann just wouldn’t fit into that approach, with the Frenchman now 31 and set to turn 32 in March.
Whilst he was once an outstanding talent with Atletico, he has struggled since a €120million (£102million) move to Barcelona back in 2019.
Whilst hailed as ‘remarkable to watch’ by France boss Didier Deschamps, Griezmann managed just three league goals last season and eight in all competitions.
Arsenal want ascending talent, not players seemingly on the decline – and that’s why we can’t see Griezmann heading to North London any time soon.
