Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs who reportedly want to sign Javi Guerra.

Javi Guerra is one of the best young midfielders in La Liga, and Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are showing interest in the Valencia star.

Newcastle United and West Ham United have also been linked.

According to 90min, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United all have scouted Guerra this season.

Manchester United have also been impressed by the 20-year-old while scouting him.

90min has added that Guerra has a release clause of £86 million in his contract at Valencia.

Javi Guerra is one for the future

I do not think that Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur should pay £86 million in the January transfer window or in the summer of 2024 for Javi Guerra.

The midfielder is just 20.

He is still progressing and developing as a player.

Of course, if Arsenal or Tottenham are able to sign Guerra for around £20 million or so, then, yes, make an offer.

But, in my opinion, the Gunners or Spurs should not pay £86 million for a player who is only 20 now.

Arsenal and Tottenham need to think of ‘the immediate’.

They need to sign players who would be able to make an impact right now.

Guerra is one for the future.

The 20-year-old could take a while to get to the level that Arsenal and Tottenham need their players to be at.

While Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League title this season, North London rivals Tottenham are determined to finish in the top four.

Guerra has made seven starts and two substitute appearances in La Liga so far this season.

The Valencia midfielder has scored three goals and given one assist in those games.
