Arsenal chose to loan out striker Eddie Nketiah in August, sending him to Leeds United for the season – and it’s unclear just whether they will be happy with how it’s going.

The Gunners have high hopes for Nketiah, and some fans were unhappy at seeing him go out on loan, feeling he could play an important role backing up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Nketiah made an instant impact with Leeds, scoring four times in his first six games for the club, whilst also scoring twice for England’s Under-21’s against Turkey in September.

However, Nketiah has only made seven Championship appearances this season, and none have come as a starter as Marcelo Bielsa has kept the faith with Patrick Bamford.

Some Leeds fans have been frustrated with Nketiah’s situation at Elland Road, and there have now been rumours about his future with the club.

The Sun report that Bristol City want Nketiah again having missed out to Leeds two months ago, believing they can promise Arsenal more first-team football for their 20-year-old striker.

Arsenal fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, believing that the Gunners would be better off recalling Nketiah in January even if Bielsa is under no pressure to play him at Leeds anyway, as the bench at Arsenal may be better than his current role at Leeds.

Leeds fans have also reacted, suggesting that they couldn’t really blame Nketiah if he did want to play elsewhere as he should be playing more, though others aren’t putting any kind of credence into the rumours, believing they’re just to destabilise Bielsa’s side.
