Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Graham Potter’s Chelsea are ready to make offers to Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio, according to TEAMtalk.
Arsenal and Chelsea ready to move for Marco Asensio
The report has claimed that Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all want to sign Madrid winger Asensio on a free transfer in the summer of 2023.
And the Gunners, the Blues, and the Citizens all are reportedly ready to make offers to the £118,000-a-week Spain international (SalarySport), who can also operate as an attacking midfielder.
Asensio is out of contract at last season’s La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners Madrid at the end of the current campaign.
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all “must overcome one big hurdle if they are to sign Asensio.”

And that is – Arsenal, Chelsea and City “are not convinced that he wants to leave Spain”.
HITC Verdict: Make an offer
In our view, if Arsenal and Chelsea are genuinely keen on Marco Asensio, then they should make offers to the Real Madrid winger.
What’s the worst that could happen?
Asensio will reject them.
And if that happens, then Arsenal and/or Chelsea could just move on and find another attacking player to sign.
The Spaniard will become a free agent at the end of the season, and we believe that for the right salary, he would be a smart signing for Arsenal or Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
