Arsenal lost 2-1 to QPR this weekend- What was to blame?
At HITC Sport we’d like to offer Arsenal fans a lighthearted apology after cursing their weekend.
The Gunners had won seven in a row, climbing to third, inspiring supporters and lifting the mood around the whole club.
The record for Premier League wins was set by Arsenal in 2002, an incredible 14.
It was always a long shot. Now we know just how unlikely it was.
Arsene Wenger won’t agree it was anything to do with us- he blames the players, citing a poor attitude. Complacency?
Even so- we would like to apologise to Arsenal fans for cursing their winning run.
On a serious note, what do Gooners make of their weekend’s performance?
Should they just put it down to a bad weekend, or were there fundamental problems evident in defeat?
With Tottenham winning, Arsenal have placed a lot of unnecessary pressure on themselves ahead of their clash with Manchester City this weekend.
With both sides desperate to win, it will be a fantastic game for the neutral, but perhaps not so enjoyable for nervous supporters.
Will Arsenal still finish third or was this defeat a big blow?
