Albert Sambi Lokonga has praised Kieran Tierney for his ‘crazy’ performances during Arsenal training sessions.
Arsenal will kick off the Premier League season for the second season in a row – and once again, it’s an away trip in London.
The Gunners lost 2-0 away at Brentford last season, getting their campaign started in the worst possible fashion.
This time it’s Crystal Palace for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta will be desperate to make a better start on a Friday night.
Albert Sambi Lokonga has praised Kieran Tierney
Ahead of the Premier League curtain-raiser, Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has made an appearance on the Counter Attack podcast.
Nuno Tavares went on the same podcast earlier this year and Lokonga has now given an insight into life at Arsenal.
From how his move came to fruition to the impact of new singing Gabriel Jesus, Lokonga spoke about a number of subjects.
One of them surrounded training, with Lokonga quizzed on who is the best trainer in the Arsenal squad.
Arteta is a very driven and determined coach, so he will expect his Arsenal players to give their all in training just as they would on match day.
Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard spring to mind, but Lokonga picked Tierney as the best trainer at Arsenal.

Lokonga suggested that Tierney is ‘crazy’, noting that he always sprinting everywhere and tackling everything in sight even in training.
Lokonga also added that Tierney is always in shorts and no sleeves even in winter, something we have previously seen in matches for club and country.
“KT, Tierney,” said Lokonga. “This guy is crazy, he is running everywhere, tackling everywhere. Even when it’s cold, he’s there in shorts, no sleeves,” he added.
Tierney is usually a first-choice pick for Arsenal but that could change this season.
With Oleksandr Zinchenko on board, Tierney has real competition for his left back spot and may need to even ramp it up in training to keep his place.
Competition for places can only be good for Arsenal and if Zinchenko can help Tierney take his game up another level, the Gunners can only benefit.
