Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana has named Arsenal’s William Saliba as the funniest player he has ever played with – much to the Gunner’s delight.

Fofana was speaking on the YouTube channel ‘Oh My Goal’ in France about a number of topics.

The defender was asked to name the funniest player he has featured with in him young career to date.

Jamie Vardy was given a shout, but Saliba took the crown for Fofana. The pair came through at Saint-Etienne together and then emerged as top centre backs with the French club.

Both ended up making big Premier League moves. Saliba joined Arsenal in 2019 before Fofana signed for Leicester a year later.

Fofana may be injured right now, but he has enjoyed a little more success than Saliba so far.

Later in the interview, Fofana named Marseille as his dream club – ironically the club where Saliba finds himself on loan from Arsenal.

Arsenal talent Saliba reacts to Fofana comments

Arsenal ace Saliba saw the interview and took to Instagram to react.

Saliba was happy to be the funniest in Fofana’s eyes, noting that the pair have a ‘bromance’.

When Fofana was spotted wearing an Arsenal shirt over the summer, Arsenal fans wanted him to join. Some even joked that he had Saliba’s name on the back.

It’s clear that the pair are very close even if they haven’t played together recently.

Saliba will hope to become as popular with Arsenal teammates one day, but much will depend on Mikel Arteta’s verdict.
