Arsenal were poor on Sunday afternoon as they could only muster a 1-1 draw with Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners would have been hoping to claim a win over the struggling Cottagers, especially having so convincingly beaten Slavia Prague on Thursday night.

However, Arsenal turned in a dismal performance and fell behind when Gabriel gave away a penalty for a foul on Mario Lemina. Josh Maja stepped up to fire home the penalty.

Arsenal were pretty disappointing throughout, but did grab a late equaliser as Eddie Nketiah scored from close range, with Fulham no doubt feeling gutted.

The result makes their relegation from the Premier League seem very likely, and Arsenal fans are wondering just how they weren’t able to win.

Defender Gabriel may feel a little hard done by; there looked to be minimal contact on Lemina as he went to ground inside the penalty area.

Gabriel took to Twitter after the game to send a message, suggesting that fans can say what they want, and he accepts the criticism.

The Brazilian, a £27million signing from Lille last summer, even noted that only those who have played the game will understand what happens on the pitch.
