Many Arsenal fans still fancy having Aaron Ramsey back, but Mathaeus Roberts could end up being the next Ramsey down the line.

Ramsey left Arsenal in 2019, joining Juventus after his Gunners contract expired.

The Welshman is regularly linked with a return to Arsenal, but that move seems very unlikely.

Arsenal are going in a different direction now and appear to be focusing on young talent instead of paying for players in their 30’s.

With that in mind, Arsenal could end up having the next Aaron Ramsey emerging in the coming years.

Arsenal talent Roberts wants to be like Ramsey

Arsenal have another Welsh midfielder in their ranks with Mathaeus Roberts showing potential.

The 16-year-old has been featuring for Arsenal’s Under-18’s, and at the same level with Wales.

Roberts has now admitted to Arsenal’s official website that Ramsey is one of the main players he looks up to.

A Welsh midfielder at Arsenal? It’s only natural he wants to be like Ramsey.

Roberts admitted that he has been watching plenty of Ramsey footage to try and learn from him and benefit Arsenal in the future.

“I’m proud to represent Wales and there’s a few players at senior level who I look up to,” said One is of course Aaron Ramsey, who was here at Arsenal for years and achieved so much when he was at the club. He plays in the same position as me and I watch a lot of his games to learn as much as I can from him,” he added.

If that research goes well, Arsenal could have the next Ramsey on their hands without spending a penny.
