Leicester City fans weren’t too pleased on Twitter with Mikel Arteta’s comments after their side beat Arsenal 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Jamie Vardy came off the bench to score the only goal of the game and it seems as though Arteta didn’t like the tactics employed by the away side.
Arteta seemed to aim a jibe at the opposition tactics by saying ‘we restricted them to nothing’ and Brendan Rodgers side wanted to ‘defend deep’, as quoted by the Mirror.
It could be argued that it was a tactical masterclass by Rodgers because without Vardy starting, he ensured that his side were still in the game after the hour mark and that’s when he pounced.
But Arteta’s comments haven’t sat well with the Leicester City supporters, who have blasted the Arsenal boss and made it clear that the so-called top-six aren’t entitled to anything.
Not only that, but they also stated that he should have been more worried about trying to stop Vardy from scoring yet another goal against the Gunners rather than moaning about tactics.

- Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

- Alexandre Lacazette

Added with that, other Foxes fans pointed out that Arteta himself has deployed tactics such as this and there is an element of hypocrisy from him.
