Liverpool’s back line has not had much stability this season, and they are still searching for a settled group heading into the business end of the campaign.
Last summer saw the transfer fumble involving Mac Guehi, the slow start of Milos Kerkez after his arrival at Anfield, and ongoing struggles with injuries for both recognized right-backs.
Both Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley have been spending a lot of time on the sidelines, and neither has managed to get a proper run in the side yet.
Former Brighton striker Glen Murray, however, has provided the answer for Arne Slot.
Glen Murray backs Jeremie Frimpong to start over Conor Bradley at right-back for Liverpool

There were some doubts raised when Frimpong first made the move to Merseyside.
He had played much higher up the pitch at Bayer Leverkusen, almost as an attacking winger under Xabi Alonso. But credit to him – he has adapted well and looks solid enough in a back four.
Speaking on Premier League Productions, Murray said: “I think they probably do need to address [their defensive problems] long-term, but they seem to have found a reasonable balance at the moment. And it’s about getting Frimpong in there, isn’t it?
“I think he’s the one that could dominate down that right-hand side for Liverpool.”
His electrifying attacking style makes him look like a game-changer, leading Murray to believe he should be the preferred choice once the full squad is available.
Liverpool do not expect Bradley back before next season at the earliest, which gives Frimpong plenty of time to establish himself as Slot’s preferred option on the right side of defence.
Arne Slot’s plan for Jeremie Frimpong
It is these kinds of differences that often set the best teams apart.
There is not another full-back quite like Frimpong in the Premier League, at least not one who matches his impact going forward.
To get the most out of him, though, Slot might need to adjust a few things. One key area will be ensuring there is enough defensive support when the Dutchman pushes high up the pitch.
That could mean adding an extra centre-back or perhaps asking Ryan Gravenberch to fill in behind. Either way, Slot will need to find a balance between making the most of Frimpong’s attacking strengths and keeping things solid at the back.
