How Marko Arnautovic could help David Moyes get a new contract at West Ham United.

That is something that is looking increasingly likely as a 3-0 victory over Southampton at the weekend moved the Hammers five points clear of the drop zone with seven matches left to play.

One of the key things that the hierarchy at the London Stadium have been pleased with since Moyes was given the job until the end of the season back in November has been the turnaround in form of Marko Arnautovic.
How good has Arnautovic been?
West Ham spent a club record £20m – possibly rising to £25m (BBC) – to buy the Austrian from Stoke City in July and after being sent off in his second game it looked as if the forward could be another flop signing.

Yet when Moyes came in Arnautovic was converted from the wing to a centre forward and scored his first goal in claret and blue with the winner against Chelsea in December.
The 28-year-old now has nine strikes in 24 league games, which has directly contributed to five wins and a draw, and the Austria international is now arguably one of the best signings of the campaign.
