Arman Tsarukyan isn’t backing down from his chase for a title fight.

The UFC lightweight contender has found himself on the wrong side of Dana White in recent months, which hasn’t helped his chances of getting closer to a title shot.

Trouble has followed him, too. He punched a fan at UFC 300, withdrew late from the first pay-per-view main event of 2025, and then head-butted Dan Hooker during their meeting in Qatar last November.

Those incidents may have played a part in Justin Gaethje vs. Paddy Pimblett getting the nod to headline UFC 324, where ‘The Highlight’ claimed the interim belt for a second time.

That result likely set up a unification fight between Gaethje and Ilia Topuria. Tsarukyan, though, continues to make his case, and his latest attempt to upset the apple cart was directed at ‘El Matador’ himself…

Topuria is currently taking time away from the UFC as he deals with personal issues following his divorce.

It’s now come out that the Spanish champion is looking to sell his $3.5 million home in Madrid, adding another layer to his situation outside the Octagon.

Tsarukyan, who has been active on social media recently, responded by offering to buy Topuria’s house if it led to a fight between them.

The champion stirred controversy over this potential matchup last year when he said he would rather give up his title than face Tsarukyan after winning the lightweight belt.

Tsarukyan could soon have his sights set on another UFC Champion

Tsarukyan hasn’t been shy about exploring new options. In fact, he’s even floated the idea of dropping down to featherweight, a division he hasn’t fought in for nearly ten years.

The Armenian spoke about that possibility during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show.

“If I am not getting Gaethje, I am not getting anybody, and I am going to try and get the title at 145 (pounds),” Tsarukyan said.

“I talked to Coach Cal. We did the math and everything. My body can go to 145.”

If that’s the direction Tsarukyan takes, he’ll be watching UFC 325 closely. The main event in Sydney will see Alexander Volkanovski rematch Diego Lopes in what’s become a highly anticipated fight.
