Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic lost against Bayern Munich at Celtic Park in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Robben featured for Bayern in their Champions League game against Celtic in Glasgow on Tuesday evening.
The German giants won 2-1, but Brendan Rodgers’s side did give them a run for their money.

Former Chelsea and Real Madrid winger Robben did not have a great game, but the Dutchman was applauded off the pitch by the Celtic fans.
The 33-year-old winger has spoken highly of the Celtic fans and told The Daily Record: “That was very respectful from the Celtic fans.
“I have rarely experienced anything like that. There are some games where you just have to try to survive and win.”

Robben has played for some of the biggest clubs in the world, such as Chelsea, Madrid and now Bayern, and the Dutchman’s comments about Celtic Park underline just what an electric atmosphere the Celtic fans create during European games.
It is a shame that Celtic have failed to progress to the knockout rounds of the Champions League this season, but the fans will certainly be loud in their remaining group games.
Robben has been on the books of Bayern since the summer of 2009 when he joined from Real Madrid for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £22 million.
