Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings has told Conor Coady on Instagram that the Wolves player is ‘arguing about your pass again’ in England training.
The Villa and Wolves duo have built quite the friendship in the England camp and they will be hoping to feature in today’s World Cup qualifier against Andorra on home soil.
Ahead of the game, both Mings and Coady seemingly had some fun on their social media about training at St George’s Park, this is what they had to say about each other.
There’s no doubt that Mings is ahead of Coady in the England centre-back order, at this point in time, and that was proven at Euro 2020.
When Harry Maguire was unable to start England’s first two games of the group stages, it was Villa’s towering defender who stepped up, and he did an outstanding job.
Mings has now been handed the captaincy in B6 and he is becoming an even more important figure on the domestic scene, which might just enhance his reputation on the international stage.
With Joe Gomez returning from injury, the strong form of the likes of Lewis Dunk, Eric Dier, Ezri Konsa and Michael Keane, Coady’s place might just be on the line.
The Wolves defender didn’t have the best of seasons last time out and now they are searching for that first win under their new manager, Bruno Lage.
If he continues down that road then it wouldn’t be a surprise if one of the above players replaces him in the forthcoming squads because at least one of them has to continue that form for these next few months.
