According to La Nacion in Argentina, Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is set to sign a new contract with the club.
Bielsa masterminded Leeds to a stunning win on Saturday afternoon, beating Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium despite having to deal with 10 men for the second half.
Leeds fans are buzzing at the moment, and it now looks like more good news is on its way to Elland Road.
La Nacion in Bielsa’s native Argentina claim that talks over a new contract for Bielsa have advanced in recent days – and a two-year contract is ‘close’.
Leeds allegedly can’t rule out any late issues, but are optimistic that a deal will be done for Bielsa to commit his future to the club.
The Argentinian has been on rolling one-year deals since arriving in 2018, so a two-year deal would be a huge coup for Leeds.

Bielsa, 65, is far from done at Elland Road, and may have hopes of taking the club into Europe in the near future, given the rapid progress his side is making.
If Bielsa’s new deal is announced soon, fans will have real hope of an exciting summer – and more scalps like Saturday’s win in the future.
