Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that the club are interested in signing Rodrigo De Paul in the summer of 2021.

According to TuttoUdinese, Liverpool are still tracking De Paul and are willing to make a move for the Argentina international attacking midfielder at the end of the season.

The report has added that Udinese will not sell the 26-year-old, who can also operate as a winger, for anything less than €40 million (£34.59 million), which is within the means of defending Premier League champions Liverpool.

Corriere dello Sport (print edition, page 25, Friday, January 15, 2021) reported that the Reds are looking at the 26-year-old as a potential replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

According to WhoScored, De Paul has scored five goals and provided one assist in 21 Serie A matches for Udinese so far this season, and scored seven goals and gave six assists in 33 league starts during the 2019-20 campaign.

Some Liverpool fans have been impressed by De Paul – described as someone who has “extraordinary technique” and who “knows the game of football” by former Udinese head coach Julio Velazquez in Tuttomercatoweb, as covered by HITC Sport – and want the club to sign the Argentine amid speculation.
