Argentina and Brazil are set to renew hostilities in the final of the Copa America.

Lionel Messi is arguably the finest footballer that this sport has ever produced but despite his success with Barcelona, hasn’t won a single international title with the Argentines.

Brazil, on the other hand, are going in search of their second-successive Copa America title, after winning the 2019 edition.

And being the host nation, the Selecao will be narrow favourites.

Argentina beat Colombia on penalties to move into the final and Emi Martinez – who saved a number of penalties during the shootout – will be hoping to replicate his heroics.

Here’s what the Aston Villa goalkeeper posted on Twitter hours before the game:

What time is the Copa America final?

The final will take place at 1 am on Sunday, UK time.

Where is the Copa America final?

The showpiece will take place at the famous Maracanã Stadium in Rio.

Argentina have won this competition on no fewer than 14 occasions but, surprisingly, it has been 28 years since they last won it.

The Albiceleste won it in Ecuador in 1993 – their last time reigning supreme on the international stage in spite of the spate of world-class players to emerge since then.
