West Ham fans have taken to Twitter in disbelief after the club tweeted a statistic regarding Tomáš Souček’s performance against Burnley.
Amazingly, the 26-year-old won 17 aerial duels against the Clarets, which is a quite ridiculous tally for one player to win alone.
What makes the statistic all the more amazing is the fact that a number of Premier League clubs didn’t even record that many over the weekend!
Souček won more aerial duels than Aston Villa, Burnley, Leeds, Tottenham, Newcastle, Fulham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Sheffield United.
That is absurd – the Czech Republic international is a machine.
In addition to his aerial dominance, Souček delivered a fine overall display at Turf Moor – aside from conceding a penalty, of course.

As WhoScored shows, the former Slavia Prague colossus had four shots and made one key pass against Sean Dyche’s men, while also getting stuck in defensively.
Souček registered one tackle, three interceptions and three clearances, in what was an all-action display from West Ham’s No.28.
However, the main takeaway from Turf Moor was his aerial prowess.

We’re not sure we’ve ever heard of a player winning 17 aerial duels in one game!
Understandably, the London Stadium faithful on Twitter couldn’t believe what they were reading.
Let’s see what the West Ham fans have been saying about the statistic…
