Granit Xhaka has taken to Instagram to send a message to Bukayo Saka, after the Arsenal wonderkid tested positive for COVID-19.

What’s the story?

Well, the 20-year-old has unfortunately been forced to withdraw from the England camp after testing positive for Coronavirus.

Saka is now isolating back at home, and will miss England’s friendly clashes with Switzerland and the Ivory Coast.

The Arsenal No.7 revealed he was “gutted” to withdraw from international duty, and it means he is now unable to add to his 14 caps.

After hearing the news, Saka’s £35m Arsenal teammate Xhaka sent him a message on Instagram, strangely asking him if he was “scared”.

You can see the Switzerland international’s message below.

At first, it seems like Xhaka is asking if Saka is scared of COVID-19, but we feel he’s jokingly suggesting the youngster is afraid of facing him when England take on Switzerland.

Blessing in disguise for Arsenal and Bukayo Saka

In our view, this is a blessing in disguise for the Gunners, and also for Saka.

Last time out, the Hale End Academy graduate was kicked around Villa Park as Arsenal recorded a 1-0 win over Aston Villa.

After full-time, Saka revealed his ankle was bleeding, and asked for more protection from officials.

Now, after testing positive for COVID-19, Saka can at least have a well deserved rest, and let his body recover properly from that hammering in the Midlands.

Hopefully, he’ll be raring to go for Arsenal on April 4th, when the Gunners make the short trip across London to Selhurst Park.
