Some Liverpool fans have responded to Virgil van Dijk’s post on Twitter.

Van Dijk has posted a Tweet this afternoon with four photos of him working hard in the gym to get back to full fitness.

The Netherlands international central defender is on the sidelines at the moment, having undergone a successful operation on a ligament injury in October.

As stated on Liverpool’s official website, no timescale has been placed upon the return of the former Celtic star to full fitness.

The 29-year-old central defender has posted an update on his situation, saying that he is working hard and has added four photos, and some Liverpool fans have responded to it, with a few hoping against hope that he is available for this weekend’s game.

Going strong without Virgil van Dijk

Van Dijk is one of the best central defenders in the world, but Liverpool are doing well without him.

The Reds are level on points with leaders Tottenham Hotspur in second place in the Premier League table and have also booked their place in the last-16 stage of the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday evening and will fancy their chances of picking up all three points from the encounter.
