Tottenham Hotspur fans do not appear at all keen on rumour suggesting that Antonio Rudiger is on their wishlist.

Sky first reported on Tottenham’s interest in the Chelsea centre-back, and the Daily Telegraph then backed up those claims more recently.

The Telegraph say that Tottenham’s interest is known to Chelsea now, with Rudiger a potential option for Jose Mourinho’s side if a deal for Milan Skriniar doesn’t go through.

But most Tottenham fans already suggest that they have no hope of actually signing the German international, and many Spurs supporters wouldn’t want him anyway.

If Tottenham somehow did manage to persuade Chelsea to sell them Rudiger it would be one of the most surprising transfers of the summer.

Rudiger may have slipped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, but they would be strengthening a direct rival by letting him join Spurs.

Tottenham have worked well in the transfer window so far, but there is a feeling that Mourinho may need one more central defender and a striker before his squad is totally complete.

And Rudiger’s arrival would give Spurs real depth at the back, with Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez, Japhet Tanganga and Toby Alderweireld already at the club.
