Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with Abel Hernandez.

Despite reported interest from Leeds United, Celtic and Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers must have been confident about securing the services of departing Hull City striker Abel Hernandez in the summer transfer window.
After all, Wolves have won automatic promotion from the Championship and plan to take the Premier League by storm next season.

Competition
Villa have FFP worries after failing to get promoted to the Premier League, and the Villans are unlikely to secure the services of the 27-year-old striker, with The Mirror (print edition, page 50, May 2, 2018) crediting Steve Bruce’s side with interest (click here to read more).
Celtic are a massive club and are interested in Hernandez, according to Calciomercato.it, but would the Scottish Premiership club be able to afford to pay his £40,000-per-week salary that he earns, as reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post?

Missing out?
However, it seems that Wolves are set to lose the race to Hernandez, with Championship club Leeds claimed to be closing in on a deal.
According to Leeds Live, Leeds are close to sealing a deal for the Uruguay international, despite Wolves having held talks with Hernandez’s representatives.
It seems that the Wanderers could miss out on the former Palermo striker, who scored eight goals in eight starts in the Championship for Hull this past season.
