Grzegorz Krychowiak has not enjoyed the best time since arriving on loan at West Bromwich Albion in the summer.
When West Brom announced in the summer that they had signed Grzegorz Krychowiak on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain, the Baggies supporters were rightfully over the moon, with the deal undoubtedly a coup for The Hawthorns club.
The Poland international has been one of the most impressive holding midfielders across Europe over the last few years, enjoying a particularly brilliant spell with Sevilla and earning a move to Parc des Princes.
However, the 27-year-old has not exactly captured the imagination during his time with the Baggies and ended up an unused substitute for the weekend’s draw with Tottenham at Wembley.
But perhaps there is light at the end of the tunnel for Krychowiak following the club’s decision to part company with Tony Pulis a week ago – or at least, that is perhaps what Ben Foster seems to believe, judging by comments he recently made that have been reported by the Daily Mail where he suggested that Pulis leaving may help bring the best out of some of West Brom’s more naturally gifted players.
Of course, it is not certain that Krychowiak’s fortunes will completely turn around as the club still need to appoint their new manager, and perhaps there is a chance that the new man will have the same problem getting the best out of Krychowiak.
But given his quality, you would imagine that he will be one of the players who will benefit the most from the Baggies looking to move away from the brand of football that Pulis had become synonymous with – and he may now finally go on to prove why his arrival was met with such fanfare in the summer.
