Graham Potter has been linked with the West Brom job, but if he wants to leave Ostersunds for the Premier League is this the right move?
Potter has made a name for himself at Swedish club Ostersunds – who play Arsenal in the second-leg of their Europa League last-32 clash tonight (February 22) – taking them from the fourth tier to the top flight and winning the first major trophy in their history in 2017 with the Swedish Cup.
It is believed the Englishman, who was a defender for West Brom during his playing days, wants to make a move to the Premier League at some point.
Yet would taking on a Baggies side who are currently the favourites to get relegated from the division with them sitting bottom and seven points from safety really a wise move?
While there is still 11 league matches to go and much could change, there is every chance that Potter will be managing in the Championship next season so should he take the potentially vacant position at the Hawthorns?
Rather than that perhaps the 42-year-old should wait until the summer – despite the fact that will be in the middle of the campaign with his current club – and see what options become available then, giving him the chance to take on a project and not try to oversee a rescue mission.
