West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City may be interested in Ryan Woods, but the 24-year-old Brentford star could join Championship rivals Stoke City instead.
According to The Birmingham Mail, West Brom and Aston Villa are interested in signing Woods in the summer transfer window.
The report has also claimed of Leeds United’s interest in the 24-year-old, who can operate as a midfielder or as a full-back.
However, it seems that Stoke are set to secure the services of the former Shrewsbury Town star.
According to The Telegraph, Stoke will make a bid of £6.5 million bid for Woods and will sign the midfielder initially on a loan deal which will become permanent in the January transfer window.
The Potters will reportedly make the offer before their Championship game against Wigan Athletic at the bet365 Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Telegraph has also claimed of Swansea’s interest in Woods, who scored one goal and provided three assists in 35 Championship starts for Brentford last season, according to WhoScored.

Missing out
Woods is a very good and talented midfielder who has proved himself in the Championship, and one suspects that West Brom and Swansea will be disappointed if the midfielder moves to Stoke in the summer transfer window.
West Brom, Stoke and Swansea all are aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship this season.
