West Bromwich Albion are reportedly on the verge of selling Nacer Chadli to Swansea City.
According to a report from the Daily Mirror, Swansea are closing in on a move for West Brom midfielder Nacer Chadli. And if the move does ultimate go through, it would arguably be the biggest mistake the Baggies have made during this frustrating window.
Tony Pulis will surely struggle to reflect on this window in a positive light, with only one permanent signing added to the squad – fellow permanent acquisition Zhang Yuning left on a two-year loan immediately after signing – and Ahmed Hegazi arriving on loan.

Meanwhile, the Baggies – who were already boasting one of the thinnest squads in the league before the window began – saw Darren Fletcher leave when his contract expired, and the Mirror reports that Chadli is set to become the latest key player from last season to move to a Premier League rival this summer.
Chadli was one of Tony Pulis’ side’s most creative players last season, contributing a number of goals and assists and generally – along with Matt Phillips – looked to be the player most capable of making something happen.
And alongside missing out on targets that may have been on their radar throughout the window, letting Chadli go would surely be the club’s main error.
West Brom may be busy during the final few weeks of the window, and the lack of depth within the squad may be an issue that may be rectified before the deadline arrives – but keeping players such as Chadli has to be as important as getting any deals done.
The Belgian has the quality to help the side build on the promise they showed last term, and selling him seems like a considerable gamble unless they have got a marquee named lined up – but even then Baggies fans would surely rather see that marquee signing play alongside Chadli than instead of the 28-year-old.
