Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Joshua King from Bournemouth in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Joshua King in the summer transfer window. According to a report in The Mirror earlier this month, Spurs have added the Bournemouth forward to their transfer list for the summer.
According to the report, King could cost at least £15 million, but Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has suggested that the 25-year-old will not leave the Cherries in the summer.
“It is good to see our players performing well, but worried or concerned are not words I am going to use,” The Mirror quotes Howe as saying in regard to speculation over the future of King. “I’m proud of the players’ performances, but we are not looking to sell anybody.
“Our vision is very clear for where we want to take the team and what we want to do. We need to keep our best players and I have the backing from everyone at the club to achieve that.”
King has scored 15 goals and created 27 chances in 34 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth so far this season.
The Norway international forward has established himself as an important player for the Cherries in recent months.
The former Manchester United prospect is enjoying arguably the best season of his career, and Howe has revealed just how committed he is, claiming that the Norwegian trains on his days off.
“Joshua looked after his body knew what he needed to do to be fit, like coming in on his days off when he wasn’t in the team and extra finishing sessions,” Howe told The Mirror about King.
“He has pushed himself to find extra bits on his game. Training on days off is something we try and promote to players that are not playing week in week out.”
King seems to be a player who is willing to work hard and push himself as much as he can in order to develop himself.
The Bournemouth striker is the perfect Mauricio Pochettino player. Pochettino likes his players to be committed and work hard in training.
However, Howe’s comments suggest that Tottenham will not get to sign King as he is not for sale.
