Jack Rodwell
There was great excitement when Rodwell joined Sunderland back in 2014, but he has never lived up to the hype.
Rodwell broke through at Everton while David Moyes was in charge, and there was a hope that the Scottish boss could’ve got the best out of the central midfielder this season.
However, Rodwell has struggled to perform to expectations at the Stadium of Light and has endured another poor season for the Wearside club.
Sebastian Larsson
As one of Sunderland’s most experienced players, Larsson was expected to have an important role for Moyes’ side this season.
But the Swedish midfielder has failed to find his best, and has contributed little when on the field.
Larsson does not have a goal or an assist to his name in the Premier League this season, which has been a major disappointment.
Wahbi Khazri
Khazri was an integral part of Sunderland’s survival bid last season, with the Tunisian winger being one of their key creative outlets.
However, Moyes has seemingly had his doubts over Khazri and not used him regularly.
Khazri has made just four Premier League starts this season, and during his time on the pitch he has failed to score or provide an assist.
