Two of Arsenal’s new kit designs for the 2021/22 appear to have been leaked.

Footy Headlines have a pretty good track record with sharing images of new kits before anyone else, and they have released some images for the Gunners home and third kits for next term.

The website does add that these renders may not be 100% correct, but do appear to be along the right lines.

The home shirt has something of an Ajax feel to it; red down the middle with white sleeves and sides.

We’ve seen this kind of design from Arsenal in the past, and if true, this new home shirt appears to be very similar to Gunners shirts from 1998 to 2000, as seen on Thierry Henry below.

As for the third shirt, Arsenal seem to have gone with two shades of blue in a zig-zag pattern which includes a hint of red.

The shirt will remind fans of away shirts from 1994 to 1996, which used those two shades of blue, whilst the 1995-96 also included something of a zig-zag pattern.

You’d have to imagine that both shirts will be pretty popular with fans given that they draw on Arsenal’s history, and we must now wait to see whether they’re the real thing.
