The Scottish champions have been handed a few pre-match boosts ahead of Bayern’s Champions League visit

Celtic have enjoyed some famous European nights at Parkhead, although not in recent years.
The Bhoys’ only home Champions League game so far this season ended in a 5-0 rout by Paris Saint-Germain.
Another European giant visits Glasgow tonight in the form of Bayern Munich, who humbled Celtic 3-0 in Germany a fortnight ago but are somewhat depleted for their trip to the Scottish champions.

As Sky Sports reports, neither Thomas Muller or Robert Lewandowski have travelled with the Bayern squad, leaving 18-year-old Manuel Wintzheimer as the only recognised centre forward available.
The Bundesliga champions are also without long-term absentees Manuel Neuer and Franck Ribery.
If that was not a big enough boost, then news of Kieran Tierney’s new six-year contract will have Parkhead rocking.

Celtic fans were absolutely delighted to learn that the 20-year-old left-back has committed his future to the club, and can harness this enthusiasm by recreating the passionate and hostile atmosphere of years past.
Everything before kickoff has gone Celtic’s way. If that continues when the whistle blows then they could add Bayern to their list of memorable scalps; Real Madrid in 1980, AC Milan in 2007, and Barcelona in 2012.
