Aston Villa and Derby County are now interested in Sunderland target Adam Forshaw.

Sunderland may already be facing a losing battle going after Adam Forshaw, with interest in the Middlesbrough midfielder heating up.
However, Forshaw’s potential availability has alerted the attentions of a host of clubs, and Sunderland could now struggle to persuade the 26-year-old that a move to the Stadium of Light would be best for his career.

Villa and Derby are both pushing for promotion in the Championship, and look to have good chances of playing Premier League football next term.

At Sunderland, however, Forshaw could be far from certain of even being a second tier player next season.
Sunderland are in 23rd position in the Championship table as things stand, and appear to be locked in a relegation battle.
And although Coleman would like to see Forshaw join, it may be that he needs to come up with a back-up plan, as it looks very likely that he will be disappointed in his pursuit of the Boro man.
