Celtic stand a good chance of resisting Premier League interest in Kieran Tierney.
Kieran Tierney’s consistently strong performances for Celtic have made him a star coveted by English Premier League teams.
A two-time Premiership winner with Celtic already, Tierney has already captained Scotland and is still just 20.
Understandably he has been linked to top English teams, but in recent months the talk has dimmed.
This is not through fault of his own, but new perhaps more attainable targets appear to have emerged instead, with boyhood Celtic fan Tierney fully committed to his club.
But lately it appears the two are enamoured with Fulham sensation Ryan Sessegnon [Mirror], while PSG’s Layvin Kurzawa is also on Tottenham’s radar [RMC Sport].
The Express had previously linked Tierney with a move to Liverpool, but the success of his Scotland colleague Andrew Robertson at Anfield rules them out of the race.
Chelsea and Arsenal are potential wildcards regarding Tierney’s future, but they are yet to make their interest known.
Celtic look likely to be able to hold onto Tierney this summer, with the defender under no pressure to leave.
Every transfer window they manage to hold onto him is a victory for them, and as Tottenham and United reportedly focusing their efforts elsewhere, the main threat to losing Tierney appears to be petering out.
