Claude Dielna was the subject of a deadline day approach, according to the Sheffield Star.

Are Rotherham United the mystery club who tried to sign Sheffield Wednesday’s Claude Dielna on deadline day?
Dielna, who is on the transfer list at Hillsborough, appeared to take a swipe at the Owls through social media on Thursday, suggesting an approach had been made but the club had refused to let him leave.
However, the Sheffield Star later reported the Frenchman’s failed move was in fact down to a last-minute change of heart from his agent.
Dielna has not played for the Owls since April 2015
The paper’s Wednesday reporter, Dom Howson wrote: “The Star understands an unnamed Championship club tried to sign Dielna on a season long-loan deal on deadline-day. The move looked set to go through, with the club prepared to subsidise all of Dielna’s wages, only for his agent to pull the plug at the eleventh hour after he pushed for a permanent transfer.”
And according to Howson’s Star colleague, Paul Davis, who covers neighbours Rotherham United: “One deadline-day deal for a Championship left-back fell through after a loan had been agreed, only for the defender’s agent to return demanding a permanent move and a three-year contract.”
With the window for emergency loan deals now abolished, Dielna looks set to remain a Wednesday payer until January at least.

However, the 28-year-old could still move on should a club come in for him from a country where the standard European transfer window restrictions do not apply – a la Slovan Bratislava last season – or if the Owls were to terminated his contract, which expires in nine months time.
Rotherham currently have three ex-Wednesday players on their books, with goalkeeper Lewis Price following Joe Mattock and Richard Wood to the New York Stadium at the start of the summer transfer window.
