Nottingham Forest and Preston North End reportedly want to sign Graham Burke from Shamrock Rovers in the summer transfer window.

Nottingham Forest may reportedly be interested in Graham Burke, but it seems that the Shamrock Rovers forward is set to join Championships rivals Preston North End instead.
According to The Irish Independent, Forest are among the clubs interested in securing the services of Burke in the summer transfer window.

Brentford and Blackburn Rovers also reportedly want the 24-year-old, but the former Aston Villa prospect is likely to end up at Preston.
According to The Irish Mirror, Burke is close to joining Preston for a transfer fee of €300,000 (£263,773), meaning that Forest are reportedly set to miss out.

Gamble signing?
Burke has been playing well for Shamrock Rovers, but the 24-year-old forward would have been a gamble signing for Forest.
The Reds will be aiming to challenge for the Championship playoffs next season, and Aitor Karanka’s side need players who are proven at this level to make an instant impact.
Given Burke’s failure to break into the Aston Villa first team, Forest should not be too disappointed if they miss out on the 24-year-old forward.
