Arsenal forward Lucas Perez is reportedly wanted by Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.

According to Sabah, Fenerbahce are close to signing Lucas Perez from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that talks have been positive, and that Fenerbahce have agreed terms with both Arsenal and Perez.

Although as in any transfers, there could be last-minute change of minds or problems with medicals, it does seem at the moment that the 28-year-old forward is on his way to Turkey.

This would come as a disappointed for Newcastle United, who have been linked with a move for Spanish forward in the summer transfer window.

According to The London Evening Standard, Newcastle are interested in signing Perez from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the Gunners want £13.4 million in order to part company with the former Deportivo La Coruna forward, but the Magpies are not ready to match that.

Interestingly, Newcastle fans are actually in favour of the club signing Perez for £13.4m, according to their posts on social networking site Twitter (click here and here to read more).
